09-06-13 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

St. Paul, speaking to the Church in Colossae, said,
Christ Jesus is the image of the invisible God,
the firstborn of all creation.
For in him were created all things in heaven and
on earth, the visible and the invisible, . . .

He is before all things, and in him
all things hold together.”  Col 1:15-20

If we were to build a castle or a bridge,
or a skyscraper, or even just a little table, and there
was no glue or mortar, no bolts or rope, no rivets or nails
to hold it together, it may stand for a little while,
but in time it will collapse.

Jesus is the builder and His buildings will never collapse.
His buildings are us, beloved, and He IS the glue.
We are held together by the blood of His cross.
And through that blood we will have
eternal life.

Nations may stand for a time.
Leaders may stand for a time.
But the test of time can only be found IN Jesus Christ.
Pray, beloved, for those who don’t know.
And pray for those who refuse to believe.
We are ONE humanity,
Created, lost, then found and saved
in Christ Jesus!
