09-13-13 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

(St. John Chrysostom, Bishop and Doctor of the Church)
Jesus said, “Can a blind person guide a blind person? . . .
Why do you notice the splinter in your brother’s eye,
but do not perceive the wooden beam in your own?
How can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me remove
that splinter in your eye,’ when you do not even notice the
wooden beam in your own eye?”  Lk 6:39-42

Oh how blind we may be sometimes, beloved.
Sometimes it makes us wonder if we should open these
mouths at all, ever . . . Probably not.
Except to exalt in the most Holy Name of Jesus.
He is our Savior.
He is our Heavenly Optometrist!
Help us to see clearly, Lord.
That ALL we may see
is YOU!
