12-07-13 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

(St. Ambrose, Bishop and Doctor of the Church)
Jesus sent His twelve apostles out on their first missionary journey without Him.
He asked them to cure sickness, drive out evil and proclaim “the Kingdom of God.”
And in doing this it had to come from hearts in the purity of love.
For there would be no reward, no payment.  Jesus said,
Without cost you have received; without cost you are to give.
Mt 9:35–10:1, 5a, 6-8

If we receive anything today without cost, we wonder what’s wrong with it!
Or we ask, “where’s the catch?”
Well, there is a catch with Jesus’ offering.
We may not be paying money, but we are paying Jesus with our very souls.
We’re putting out all our junk, as we do in a garage sale.
And Jesus is buying it up so that we can enjoy a clean house.
All that will be left is Joy, Happiness and Eternal Life.
Jesus did that (made that payment for our junk) with His life.
And we are to do the same with ours for others, beloved,
out of the pure love of Jesus in our hearts!!
