12-12-13 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

12-12-13
(Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe)
The angel Gabriel said to Mary, “Behold, you will conceive in
your womb
and bear a son, and you shall name him Jesus.
He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High,
and the Lord God will give him the throne of David his father,
and he will rule over the house of Jacob forever,
and of his Kingdom there will be no end.”  Lk 1:26-38

“Once upon a time . . .”

Don’t all GREAT stories begin that way?
Well, this IS the Greatest Story ever told.
Once upon a time there were a people who were very lost.
And try as they might, they just couldn’t find their way.
They had hopes and dreams, but none of it was strong enough,
was real enough to believe.
And THEN it happened.
In a distant land, in an obscure place, in the dark of night,
to an unknown and very poor couple,
a BABY was born . . .

Our Lady GuadalupeAs the story goes . . .
It IS a true story.
It is a heartfelt story.
It is a sad story.
BUT, it is the most Awesome Love story,
because through it, beloved,
WE are no longer lost!

And we have been told,
even thousands of years later,
of it’s truth, of it’s warnings,
and of it’s HOPE –
through His own Mother.

JESUS!
