12-21-13 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

(The Visitation of Mary with Elizabeth)
On the fourth day before Christmas my True Love gave to me . . .
the voice of my little dove – as sweet as she is lovely!

doveA lover wrote of his beloved in the Song of Songs,
“O my dove in the clefts of the rock,
in the secret recesses of the cliff,
Let me see you,
let me hear your voice,
For your voice is sweet,
and you are lovely.”  Sg 2:8-14

Many hundreds of years later in a little village another voice was heard.

Elizabeth, filled with the Holy Spirit, cried out in a loud voice and said (to Mary),
“Most blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb.”
“For at the moment the sound of your greeting reached my ears,
the infant in my womb leaped for joy.”  Lk 1:39-45

Ever hear a voice beloved,
that just rattled every nerve in your body –
with JOY!

That’s the Heavenly voice of God,
the Blessed voice of Mary,
the Lovely voice of Jesus,
resonating with our Love for them!
Ahhhhh, the voice of Christmas!
