01-15-14 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

Here am I, Lord; I come to do your will.
Ps 40 response

To do your will, O my God, is my delight,
and your law is within my heart!” Ps 40

When Samuel went to sleep in his place,
the LORD came and revealed his presence,
calling out as before, “Samuel, Samuel!”
Samuel answered,
“Speak, for your servant is listening.”

1 Sm 3:1-20

Do we hear His call, beloved?
Or do we ignore it?
Or is the noise so loud around us
that we can’t hear it?

Maybe we need to listen a little closer.
Maybe we need to open our hearts
and minds to endless possibilities,
even some we may not think we like.
Maybe we need a little quiet, first.

He’s calling each and every one of us . . .

And then, on the other side, beloved, like me,
maybe when we constantly hear the beating of
our own hearts in our ears, it means we
need a little more noise.
A little more companionship.
A little more readers and comments!!!

Here I am, Lord!
Please speak!
