01-29-14 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

January 29, 2014
Jesus said to them, “Do you not understand this parable?  Then how will you understand any of the parables?  The sower sows the word.  These are the ones on the path where the word is sown.”  Mk 4:1-20

The ones on the path are all those who call themselves Christians.  Yet, just because one calls himself a Christian or wears a cross around her neck, doesn’t mean they are really followers of the Word.  Jesus gives several examples of how people miss the mark when it comes to being a true follower of the Word. It takes dedication, perseverance and courage.  Because there is  a whole world out there that disagrees and wants to bring us to an end.  Jesus and the Holy Spirit will help.  We must stay in the Word always and in doing so, we will often have to let go of little pieces of the World within us that will fight against Christ.

So be strong, beloved, and His Kingdom will be yours!
