03-08-14 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

(St. John of God)
The Lord spoke through the Prophet Isaiah saying, “If you remove from your midst oppression, false accusation and malicious speech; If you bestow your bread on the hungry and satisfy the afflicted; Then light shall rise for you in the darkness, and the gloom shall become for you like midday;”  Is 58:9b-14

God promises that all will go well for those who do good.  That doesn’t mean that their lives will necessarily be a bed of roses.  As a matter of fact it might even be harder than if they were bad.  But what it does mean is that they WILL be able to handle all the little “issues” in life much better, much calmer and might even pass through those issues totally unscathed.  While those same events would devastate one who’s conscience is filled with guilt and fear.  God will take care of the righteous.  Just try Him on that.  You won’t be disappointed!
