03-13-14 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

March 13, 2014
Two good quotes in today’s Gospel reading:  Jesus said, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”  Mt 7:7-12

And we always seem to throw in the caveat “if it be God’s will,” because we really don’t believe!  Try believing first, beloved, then ask – and see what miracles just might happen!

Jesus also said, “Do to others whatever you would have them do to you. This is the law and the prophets.”  Ibid

And there’s that good old “golden rule.”  But don’t do unto them because you want them to do something unto you.  Do it with absolutely no expectation of repayment.  And often there will be no repayment – but just wait.  Someday you just may be in need of help, or caring, or love – it will come and then you just may be surprised!
