03-18-14 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

March 18, 2014
(St. Cyril of Jerusalem, Bishop and Doctor of the Church)
The LORD spoke through the prophet Isaiah saying, “Though your sins be like scarlet, they may become white as snow;
Is 1:10, 16-20

. . . IF we allow His forgiveness in our lives.
And that just may take a little humility!

Jesus said, “Whoever exalts himself will be humbled; but whoever humbles himself will be exalted.”  Mt 23:1-12

What greater exaltation could there be than being forgiven of ALL of our transgressions against the Lord.  When we think that we can do it all on our own – cleanse ourselves, reconcile with our neighbor and come to God clean – then we’re just fooling ourselves.  When we can humble ourselves enough to accept God’s help, then we’ll find that only through God can we do all things.  Only with God is true forgiveness found, beloved!
