06-14-14 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

June 14, 2014
Jesus said, “Let your ‘Yes’ mean ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No’ mean ‘No.’
Anything more is from the Evil One.”   Mt 5:33-37

Jesus was talking to His disciples about making promises.  Ever make a promise that you were not able to keep?  It’s not only embarrassing, but it really hurts your integrity.  People loose their trust in you.  But you know what – sometimes it’s so hard to say no.

DecisionsSo the next time that opportunity comes up to make a promise, take a deep breath, ask Jesus to help you in that decision, and if you’re not sure – ‘Just say NO.”  And be sure of this:  there will unquestionably be more than enough other opportunities to say Yes!  And the best place to start is by saying YES to Jesus.  Always let Him come first and your integrity will be Rock Solid!  God bless you always, beloved!
