07-06-14 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

July 6, 2014
(Fourteenth Sunday Ordinary Time A)
St. Paul said, “If the Spirit of the one who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, the one who raised Christ from the dead will give life to your mortal bodies also, through his Spirit that dwells in you.”  Rom 8:9, 11-13

Are we breathing?  Can we see and feel and touch?  Yes, as we age or suffer accidental tragedies, we may lose some of those faculties.  But we are ALIVE.  And the only reason we are alive is that Spirit of Christ is living within us.  Maybe we don’t realize it.  Maybe we just don’t feel so alive – BUT we ARE, beloved.  Awake, awake, arise my love and know that you are loved.  More than a million whispers tingling in our cells tells us so!  Now, in this life, let’s make the best of it, and awaken the world around us as well.
