10-18-14 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

October 18, 2014
(St. Luke, Evangelist)
Jesus said to the 72 disciples, as He sent them off on mission, “Go on your way; behold, I am sending you like lambs among wolves.” . . . “Whatever town you enter and they welcome you, eat what is set before you, cure the sick in it and say to them,
‘The Kingdom of God is at hand for you.’”  Lk 10:1-9

The message is simple.  The people are hungry for what the message has to offer.  And yet, there are those who are threatened by it.  Those who oppose it because of their own greed and self righteousness.  Jesus said that the world will hate you because of me.  So it is.  So it will always be.  But there will always be the hungry ones too, beloved.  It is to them that we are to go.  To welcome, to cure and to offer this incredibly awesome Kingdom that God puts forth to Everyone – in LOVE.  Come, beloved and feast in His Love!
