11-02-14 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

November 2, 2014
(Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed – All Souls Day)
The souls of the just are in the hand of God, and no torment shall touch them. They seemed, in the view of the foolish, to be dead; and their passing away was thought an affliction and their going forth from us, utter destruction. But they are in peace. For if before men, indeed, they be punished, yet is their hope full of immortality; chastised a little, they shall be greatly blessed, because God tried them and found them worthy of himself.   Wis 3:1-9

So they ask – Where is our hope?  Why are Christians so full of joy and hope?  THIS is why!  Death has no hold on us!

If you ever get to feeling down or depressed, beloved, copy this quote down and read it – read it often.  Jesus conquered death FOR US.  So let them insult us and tease us and persecute us.  We have the promise of eternal life!

Jesus said, “For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in him may have eternal life, and I shall raise him on the last day.”  Jn 6:37-40

So fear not, beloved.  We are his chosen Children.  We DO believe and we WILL be raised – That’s His promise.
