11-06-14 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

November 6, 2014
Jesus said, “there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous people who have no need of repentance.”  Lk 15:1-10

Ever lose something, beloved, that was very valuable to you?  A key to the car that had to get you home, a child in a department store, a dog (or a sheep)?  And then, maybe after praying to St. Anthony, but purely by the grace of God, it or they were found!

What an incredible series of emotions that goes through you.  Anger at yourself or the lost one, exhilaration at the find, relief from the worry about their safety, JOY!  Well, that’s how God feels about each and every one of us.  We ARE His precious, beloved, lost ones.  And He loves us so very much.  All He asks is that we recognize our lostness and allow Him to find us.  Repent and then rest in the arms of our loving God!
