(St Martin of Tours, Bishop)
St. Paul and Jesus were teaching their disciples the principles of good, moral, servant leadership in today’s Scriptures. St. Paul said to Titus that a leader should serve “as a model of good deeds in every respect, with integrity in your teaching, dignity, and sound speech that cannot be criticized,” Ti 2:1-8, 11-14
People tend to gravitate to leaders who show compassion and understanding. Leaders who are willing to serve, as well as teach the principles of good service. Just as Jesus modeled servant leadership to His disciples, we are to model good behavior, leadership and integrity to our children, friends, coworkers and everyone we meet. That’s being Christian!
