12-03-14 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

December 3, 2014
(St. Francis Xavier, Priest)
Speaking of the Lord, the prophet Isaiah said, “On this mountain he will destroy the veil that veils all peoples, The web that is woven over all nations; he will destroy death forever.” Is 25:6-10a

Jesus walked by the Sea of Galilee, went up on the mountain, and sat down there.  Great crowds came to him, having with them the lame, the blind, the deformed, the mute, and many others.  They placed them at his feet, and he cured them.  Mt 15:29-37

On that mountain – where Abraham near-sacrificed his son Isaac, where Jesus taught the crowds his ‘Sermon on the Mount,’ where many were healed and cured, and where He took His last breath to free us from slavery to sin and death, WE, beloved, are saved.  We can come to that mountain any time we breathe the Name of Jesus.  He is waiting for us to come to His “banquet.”  Rise up, O blessed one, and BREATHE!
