12-27-14 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

December 27, 2014
(St. John, Apostle and Evangelist)
St. John wrote, “We are writing this so that our joy may be complete.”    1 Jn 1:1-4

What would it take, beloved, to be able to truthfully say, “my joy is complete?”  Would it be your favorite ice cream?  Would it be listening to your most cherished music?  Or would it be, like John, seeing other people moved to light and truth and love by the Word of Jesus?  Jesus’ Word is supposed to move us.  It’s supposed to get us thinking about right and wrong, about love and hope.  Have you been moved lately, beloved.  Maybe it’s time to dig into that Word again.
