01-03-15 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

January 3, 2015
St. John wrote, “See what love the Father has bestowed on us
that we may be called the children of God.”  1 Jn 2:29–3:6

We may not be the child of a movie star.  And we may not be the child of a football hero.  And we may not even be the child of a middle class factory worker.  But we are the Children of God.  Better than all those other options, none of which are necessarily bad, we are the children of the very BEST.  If God is our Father than there is a seed of Him within us.  And there is nothing within us that will ever cause us to lose His Love for us.  We may forget Him.  But He will never ever forget us.  So be glad, beloved.  We may have been lucky enough to have awesome parents.  But even if we’re not – we still have THE very BEST parent in God!
