01-16-15 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

January 16, 2015
They were so excited that Jesus was in their town, that no crowd, and no house, and no logistics could keep them from bringing their loved one to receive His healing.  (And so, they climbed over the people, broke through the roof of the house, and lowered him on ropes.)  When Jesus saw their faith, he said to him,“Child, your sins are forgiven.”  Mk 2:1-12

What keeps us from having that kind of faith, beloved?  What trivial road blocks do we use as excuses?  I’m not strong enough.  I’m not wise enough.  I’m not brave enough!  You see, beloved, if we’ve been baptized and confirmed in the faith, we have all we could possibly need with the Holy Spirit at our sides.  We ARE His Temple and HE IS GOD, so He can conquer all obstacles.  All we need do is have a little faith and just ASK!

(And we might just be “astounded” at what we find!)
