03-03-15 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

(St. Katharine Drexel)
Jesus said, “The greatest among you must be your servant.  Whoever exalts himself will be humbled; but whoever humbles himself will be exalted.”  Mt_23:1-12

It’s called “Servant Leadership.”  And it means: leading by example, caring enough for our people that we are willing to stand beside them to learn exactly what they are going through, so that we can fill their needs better, quicker and with true compassion.  Servant leadership is washing our employees feet in order to teach them what they should do for one another.  In being that servant leader, following the example set forth to us by Jesus, we WILL not only find happier employees, but productivity will increase, absenteeism will diminish, and we, as those servant leaders, will feel great about it too.  Eventually we will even be exalted by God the Father.  Jesus assures us of that!
