05-02-15 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

May 2, 2015
(St. Athanasius, Bishop and Doctor of the Church)
Jesus told His disciples that IF they believe in Him, “whatever you ask in my name, I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.”  Jn 14:7-14

So: 1. DO we truly believe?  2. Are we asking so that the Father may be glorified in the Son (or are we asking out of our own selfishness)?  And 3. Have we ever actually tried it – asking God the Father something that would bring glory to Him, in Jesus’ Name?  Try it sometime – from the heart, through the Holy Spirit and you just might be surprised.  Then again, IF you truly believe – it’s clearly NO Surprise!  God loves us and will do anything for His children.
BELIEVE!
