05-05-15 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

May 5, 2015
Jesus said to his disciples: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you.  Not as the world gives do I give it to you.  Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid.”   Jn_14:27-31a

At a recent Conference, I came across the following quote from a priest in Farmington, MO, named Fr. Valleroy.  It was too good not to share.  Without his permission, but of his blessings, here is an excerpt:

Symptoms of Inner Peace

  • A tendency to think and act spontaneously,
rather than in fear based on past experiences
  • An unmistakable ability to enjoy each moment
    as it comes
  • A loss of interest in judging other people and
    interpreting their actions
  • A loss of interest in conflict
  • A loss of the ability to worry
  • Frequent, overwhelming episodes of appreciation
  • Feelings of connectedness with others and nature
  • Frequent attacks of smiling
  • An increasing tendency to let things happen,
rather than trying to make them happen
  • An increased susceptibility to the love extended
by others, and the uncontrollable urge to extend it!

From Fr. Rickey Valleroy, Farmington, MO

If you’re feeling any of these symptoms, beloved – know that it is Christ’s inner peace that you are coming down with – AND THAT’s a good thing!
