05-21-15 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

May 21, 2015
Lifting up his eyes to heaven, Jesus prayed saying: “I pray not only for these,
but also for those who will believe in me through their word, so that they may all be one, as you, Father, are in me and I in you, that they also may be in us,”   Jn_17:20-26

WE, who believe in Jesus, through the word of the apostles, we’re the ones Jesus was praying to His Father for.  And that’s pretty awesome, beloved!  We truly can be ONE with Jesus, God the Father and the Holy Spirit, IF we believe in Jesus.  And we believe through Scripture – as handed down by the apostles, through Community and through the Sacraments of our Church.  All three are critically essential to our formation and our persistence and resilience in the Faith.

“Believe what you read, teach what you believe, and practice what you teach.”
