06-18-15 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

June 18, 2015
Jesus said to his disciples: “In praying, do not babble like the pagans, who think that they will be heard because of their many words.  Do not be like them.  Your Father knows what you need before you ask him.”   Mt 6:7-15

It’s funny, we can say the same thing of and to our kids.  Stop beating around the bush.  From the very first words we hear, we know.  We don’t need to be “softened,” or cajoled, or convinced, or lied to.  God know us, probably better than we know ourselves.  So just ask – in reverence, in humility, according to His will, but believing that what we ask WILL be done!   Yup!  That’s God!
