(Saint Kateri Tekakwitha, Virgin)
A certain man of the house of Levi married a Levite woman, who conceived and bore a son. Seeing that he was a goodly child, she hid him for three months. When she could hide him no longer, she took a papyrus basket, daubed it with bitumen and pitch, and putting the child in it, placed it among the reeds on the river bank. His sister stationed herself at a distance to find out what would happen to him. Ex 2:1-15a
Can you name that child?
Well, give you a couple more clues: splitting the Red Sea, an emissary of God, water from a rock, (Charlton Heston!)
YES! It was Moses!
Funny, how we may have come into this world in the most awkward of situations, and yet still are pretty important in God’s eyes. It’s all in our willingness to Let Him use us. So “let go and let God” as they say, beloved. And who knows – You might just be the next Moses!
