07-16-15 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

July 16, 2015
(Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel)
Jesus said: “Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves.  For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.”   Mt 11:28-30

This IS one of the most comforting quotes in the Bible.  The very words of Jesus, himself.  The hope that we can find rest in Him!  Lay your burdens at His feet, beloved, and He WILL take care of them.  They may not disappear.  But they will be manageable.  And there will be hope and rest in His shadow.

Jesus says, yoke yourself to me and I will assist you with whatever it is that burdens you.  It will not be yours to carry alone any more.  Sickness, disease, cancer, loss, stress at work or at home – give them all to Jesus to help you carry – and there you will see how much better it all can be.  Be blessed, beloved.  Carry those crosses – and in the process let Jesus help – He does have experience!
