07-23-15 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

July 23, 2015
(St. Bridget of Sweden)
Jesus said to His disciples, “knowledge of the mysteries of the Kingdom of heaven has been granted to you, but to them it has not been granted.  To anyone who has, more will be given and he will grow rich; from anyone who has not, even what he has will be taken away.  This is why I speak to them in parables, because ‘they look but do not see and hear but do not listen or understand.'”   Mt_13:10-17

Today I drove past our local abortion factory.  You might think of it like driving past one of those furnaces in Hitler’s Dachau or Auschwitz.  And we call ourselves a civilized, “free” nation!  And there in front of the building were a crowd of people with posters wanting to keep the place from closing.  Because recent news has revealed that the organization is selling fetal body parts.  Funny, they didn’t call it a body when all they were doing was killing it.  I just cannot fathom why people would be so vehemently bent toward wanting to kill.  Kill helpless children, kill Jews, kill Christians, even blow themselves up in order to kill more!  It’s sick.  It’s sad!

Jesus says “they look but do not see and hear but do not listen.”  And one day when that same sickle is speeding towards their own necks, they still will not understand!  It’s sad! Our world seems to be getting uglier by the minute.  And yet, the mysteries of that Kingdom of Heaven are always within OUR grasp, beloved.  You see, it has to do with life and not death.  It has to do with love and not hate.  And it has to do with compassion and not greed.  If you happen to understand those basic principles of God’s Kingdom, beloved, hang tight.  More will be given and we will grow rich in Eternal LIFE.

In the meantime, pray for them.
And pray for us.
Jesus will be here always to help us.
LOVE!
