07-27-15 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

July 27, 2015
Moses came down the mountain with the two tablets of the commandments in his hands, tablets that were written on both sides, front and back; tablets that were made by God, having inscriptions on them that were engraved by God himself.   Ex_32:15-24, 30-34

Engraved by God Himself!

The Ten Commandments are God’s guidance in how we should live in the best manner possible.  Jesus summed it all up with two simple commands: Love God and Love one another.  If we can do this, beloved, we will be always in God’s good graces.  And we will also be in the good graces of our neighbors.  For the evil that comes upon us because we do not follow these commands, then, is of our own doing.  It doesn’t mean that we will be immune to the evil of others if we’re good.  But we will have done the best we can to avoid it.  And in God’s eyes – that’s all that matters!  Eternal Life will be ours through our Love!
