07-29-15 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

July 29, 2015
(St. Martha)
As Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of the commandments in his hands, he did not know that the skin of his face had become radiant while he conversed with the LORD.  Ex 34:29-35

Ever notice, beloved, another person whose face was “radiant” from the Lord?
It is a most awesome sight!  Their beauty just shines from the Love of God within them.  And we just want to bask in that radiance!

Well, you know what, Moses didn’t even know that the radiance in his face was there.  And neither do we, when that Glow of God is upon us.  But what we do need to do is to keep on BEING in His presence.  And we do that through prayer, through our giving, and just by being in the presence of those friends of ours who do ‘radiate.’

Just like the moon that radiates the sunlight to brighten our nights.  Just like the clouds that radiate the sun’s light in the beauty of a rainbow to brighten our rainy days.  And just like the face of that perfectly innocent child, who smiles at our wrinkled old faces to elicit a smile back – God is there that we might reflect that sunshine of His Love to everyone else we meet.

So let us shine, beloved, let us shine!
