07-31-15 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

July 31, 2015
(St. Ignatius of Loyola, Priest)
After His hometown neighbors denounced Jesus, He said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his native place and in his own house.”  And he did not work many mighty deeds there because of their lack of faith. Mt_13:54-58

Funny, how we still do this.  They say that the “expert” is the one with the suitcase and the briefcase, even though there may be someone much better living within our own midst.  Well, sometimes the old saying that “you get what you pay for” just happens to be the opposite of the truth.  Sometimes all we have to do is look in our own backyard.

Is Jesus in our back pocket, beloved?
Or is he shining in our hearts and on our faces!
