08-29-15 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

(The Passion of St. John the Baptist)
King Herod was so impressed with his step-daughter’s performance that he promised her: “I will grant you whatever you ask of me, even to half of my kingdom.” She went out and said to her mother, “What shall I ask for?” She replied, “The head of John the Baptist.” The girl hurried back to the king’s presence and made her request, “I want you to give me at once on a platter the head of John the Baptist.” Mk 6:17-29

You know what, brothers and sisters in Christ, sometimes the things we’re told to do, sometimes the things we see others do, and sometimes the things our bodies entice us to do – are not always RIGHT! Sometimes we have to say a little prayer for guidance and then LISTEN for the Right answer. The Holy Spirit will lead and guide us. But it’s still up to us to make the Right decision! Pray, beloved that we never have to make a decision such as the young girl in this story had to make. Bless us LORD with wisdom!
