10-06-15 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

October 6, 2015
Jesus said, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and worried about many things.  There is need of only one thing.  Mary has chosen the better part and it will not be taken from her.”   Lk_10:38-42

Guess we “doers” always struggle with this verse.  Somebody had to cook, otherwise nobody would eat.  On the other hand, if Martha didn’t do the cooking, would there have been complaints from the other side?  The take-away today should be that sometimes we just have to prioritize.  The cooking will NEVER go away.  But the Lord someday may.  So listening to His Words would clearly have been the better part.  Feeding soul vs feeding stomach.  Soul should always come first!

Something to chew on!
