10-31-15 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

October 31, 2015
Jesus said, “everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”   Lk_14:1,_7-11

Ever run into someone, beloved, who goes on and on about all the great things they’ve done.  And sometimes you feel as though, if you just left, they would never even know it, because they were really only talking to themselves.  It seems to be more and more commonplace today, especially with all the one-way texting and emails.  Ever send an email asking for someone’s opinion or an answer to a question and never get a response.  Funny, with all the advances in communication, we seem to be communicating less and less, with tons of people only talking to themselves.  Ha!  Reminds me of this Webpage!  Oh well!

St. Paul said something like – If I boast, it is not boasting about myself, but about the wonderful things the Lord has done (not only for me, but for EVERYONE!).

I humbly concede, beloved,  that I am not to be exalted.  But Praise Be to God for Jesus Christ who lives in me (in all of us!)
