(Saint Josaphat, Bishop and Martyr)
Asked by the Pharisees when the Kingdom of God would come, Jesus said in reply, “The coming of the Kingdom of God cannot be observed, and no one will announce, ‘Look, here it is,’ or, ‘There it is.’ For behold, the Kingdom of God is among you.” Lk_17:20-25
If the Kingdom of God is not a place, but a state of being, beloved, then are we truly living it? What would it take for my life to be “in the Kingdom of God?” Jesus has deemed it so. Now it’s our choice. Are we living a life of disappointment and dissatisfaction with everything around us? Or are we living the Kingdom here and now? If we are, then everything and everyone around us will see it. And they will either reject us and that Kingdom, or will join in with us.
So rather than joining their misery, beloved, let’s let that Kingdom shine from us to CHANGE the world! “. . . and the world will be a better place – for you, and for me . . . “
