11-13-15 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

November 13, 2015
(Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini, Virgin)
Jesus said, “So it will be on the day the Son of Man is revealed.  On that day, someone who is on the housetop and whose belongings are in the house must not go down to get them, and likewise one in the field must not return to what was left behind.  Remember the wife of Lot. Whoever seeks to preserve his life will lose it, but whoever loses it will save it.”  Lk_17:26-37

Same old question, beloved!  What are we willing to lose to GAIN Life?  Is it house, or photo albums, or motorcycle, favorite stuffed toy?  Is it computer, or files, or cash, or precious notes?  Is it even closest family?  What are we willing to lose?  I think we can deal with pretty much everything,  but when it comes to closest family members – that would be the toughest.  I know that I would be willing to give up physical life to save a loved one.  And I surely would hope that God will take that in consideration when Jesus comes to gather us all for eternal life with Him!  That would be my deepest prayer: that we ALL will go together!

A special happy birthday blessing for my son-in-law, Joe!
