A leper came to him (Jesus) and kneeling down begged him and said, “If you wish, you can make me clean.” Moved with pity, he stretched out his hand, touched the leper, and said to him, “I do will it. Be made clean.” The leprosy left him immediately, and he was made clean. Mk_1:40-45
Some gifts are received in obedience and with appreciation and some are flaunted. Ever give a gift or tell a secret, beloved, that you wish you never did? Which leaves us with the question . . . Do we not give gifts? Or, do we give them anyway, knowing that they may come back to haunt us. God is a generous giver! Are we worthy? Can we be generous like Jesus too? Jesus knows the cost. He lived it. I think we can too!
