03-24-16 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

March 24, 2016
(Holy Thursday)
The Lord Jesus, on the night he was handed over, took bread, and, after he had given thanks, broke it and said, “This is my body that is for you.  Do this in remembrance of me.”  In the same way also the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood.  Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.”  1_Cor_11:23-26

The institution of the Eucharist.  The New Passover.  The Last Supper.  The New Covenant.  The Love of Christ poured out for us!

Jesus said to His disciples, “I have given you a model to follow,
so that as I have done for you, you should also do.”  Jn_13:1-15

From washing of their feet to feeding them, along with the multitudes.  From calming their storms to healing their ills.  From praying with them to praying for them.  All the way to dying for them, and us.  Jesus is our model.  And so shall we behave and act and do for others.

A very blessed Holy Thursday to you beloved!
