03-29-16 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

March 29, 2016
Mary Magdalene was mourning the loss of the body of Jesus.  She was so blinded by her focus on the dead that she didn’t realize that the living Jesus was right there in front of her, and He was speaking with her.  When she finally realized that it was Jesus, Jesus said to her, “Stop holding on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father.”  Jn_20:11-18

Sometimes, beloved, we cling so tightly to the wrong things that the right thing, the answer we were searching for, is right there in front of us and we don’t even recognize it.  We need to slow down, calm down, open our eyes and maybe for the first time ever, SEE!  Jesus is right there waiting for us, to provide our answers, to calm our fears, to feed us in our hunger.  Today let’s open the door of our heart and welcome Him in!
