05-05-16 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

May 5, 2016
Jesus said to his disciples: “A little while and you will no longer see me, and again a little while later and you will see me.”  Jn_16:16-20

Riddles!  Jesus was trying, in 100 different ways, to get through to His disciples that something quite incredible was about to happen.  He told them, time and again, that He would be killed.  But He also told them that He would rise from death.  They just didn’t understand.  And yet, He expected that too.  So He told them that after He returned, they would begin to understand.  And after He had gone back to the Father, the Holy Spirit would help them to understand it all.

And it all happened just as Jesus said it would.  Have you been inflamed by the Holy Spirit beloved?  If you’d been baptized and confirmed, He’s there within you.  All you need do is recognize Him and let Him speak.  Quiet down, just for a little while and all the answers will come flowing out.  THAT’s the Holy Spirit.  Peace be with you, beloved.  Let His peace fill you.  And you’ll find the Joy that follows!
