07-24-16 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

July 24, 2016
(17th Sunday Ordinary Time, C)
Jesus said, “What father among you would hand his son a snake when he asks for a fish?  Or hand him a scorpion when he asks for an egg?  If you then, who are wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?”   Lk_11:1-13

Out of our love comes our giving.  Our giving doesn’t bring or deserve love of us.  Our giving doesn’t merit us any blessings from heaven.  But our love brings, deserves and merits the Love of God, which is there all along.  Recognize His love, beloved, and share it with everyone you meet.  And from it you will be blessed beyond measure!
