08-06-16 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

August 6, 2016
(Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord)
Peter said of Jesus, “For he received honor and glory from God the Father when that unique declaration came to him from the majestic glory, “This is my Son, my beloved, with whom I am well pleased.”  We ourselves heard this voice come from heaven while we were with him on the holy mountain.”   2_Pt_1:16-19

Peter declared what his own ears heard and eyes witnessed:  God the Father declaring Jesus to be His own beloved Son.  And there were no electronic amplification devices in those days.  The ONLY place that voice could have come from was God Himself.  Believe, beloved, Listen and Live!
