08-16-16 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

August 16, 2016
(St. Stephen of Hungary)
Jesus said, “For men this is impossible, but for God all things are possible.”  Mt_19:23-30

What is it, beloved, that seems so impossible for us?  Is it wealth, or happiness?  Is it a job or a spouse?  Is it even just death, because we’ve had just about enough of this silliness.  Maybe for us, these things ARE impossible, but Jesus says for God all things are possible.  And so, we pray and we ask God in Jesus’ Name to answer us.  And then we patiently wait.

Maybe it’s not His will right now.  Maybe we need a little more work yet, on where we’re at, poor, sad, jobless and lonely.  But if there is one thing guaranteed in life, it’s death.  And with all perfect expectations there is a much much better life to come.
So keep on praying beloved.  And patiently wait!
