10-11-16 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

October 11, 2016
Jesus said to the judgmental Pharisees, “as to what is within (you), give alms, and behold, everything will be clean for you.”  Lk_11:37-41

Where is our treasure, beloved?  Is it in our OCDedness?  Is it in our house or our car or our smartphone?  Jesus is telling the Pharisees and us today that we need to move it out to the needs of others.  And that means, not just giving a little of our extra, as we then go back on to the important business (us).  But it means actually making THEM – be our treasure!  Let that grass grow another day – it won’t hurt anyone.  Leave that dust sit another week (it’s been there for three months already anyway), and go, spread some Good News.  What are some ways, WE can move out of ourselves today and treasure someone else?

Maybe I’ll start by sending God’s blessing to YOU!
Thanks for visiting!
