10-31-16 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

October 31, 2016
St. Paul instructed the Church at Philippi, “Brothers and sisters: If there is any encouragement in Christ, any solace in love, any participation in the Spirit, any compassion and mercy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, with the same love, united in heart, thinking one thing.  Do nothing out of selfishness or out of vainglory; rather, humbly regard others as more important than yourselves, each looking out not for his own interests, but also everyone for those of others.”  Phil_2:1-4

This “humility” of Christ is the one unifying force which can finally bring us all back together.  The question is, how willing are we, each and every one of us, to let go of past hurts, to let go of being number one, being on top – so that we may ALL be ONE and ‘on top’ TOGETHER.  The result would be better than winning the largest lottery that ever existed.  It would be better than being the richest person on earth, the most famous and the most powerful.  And there would finally be the peace that we’ve been seeking for eons.  It would be the “Peace of Christ” serving as His Body, as One Body in Christ.
