11-28-16 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

November 28, 2016
When Jesus entered Capernaum, a centurion approached him and appealed to him, saying, “Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, suffering dreadfully.”  He said to him, “I will come and cure him.”  The centurion said in reply, “Lord, I am not worthy to have you enter under my roof; only say the word and my servant will be healed.”  Mt_8:5-11

Only say the Word!  Not, only take this pill (which will cost your arm and your leg and your first-born child).  Not, only subject yourself to cell-deadening radiation or liver destroying chemo.  Not, only lock yourself away from friends and family so that they don’t get it too.  ONLY say the Word!  Lord, we pray for your healing Word to comfort those left alone, those suffering illness, disease or hunger, those who feel they don’t even deserve your presence because of the guilt of their sinfulness.  Only say the Word and we will be healed as a society, as a family of God’s beloved children.  Only say the Word.  We DO believe!  And we WILL be healed!
