12-09-16 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

(St. Juan Diego)
Thus says the LORD, your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: I, the LORD, your God, teach you what is for your good, and lead you on the way you should go.  If you would hearken to my commandments, your prosperity would be like a river, and your vindication like the waves of the sea;   Is_48:17-19

If you’re a parent, beloved, you know well what the Prophet Isaiah was transmitting about God – our Creator and heavenly parent.  EVERYTHING that God wants for us is for our own good, just as everything a parent wants for their child is for that child’s good.  For the parent knows more.  The parent has experienced more and has already been through the ups and the downs, the pits and the mountaintops, to share with us only the very best of how to survive and thrive in this life.  If we listen to the directions of our God, the directions of Jesus, there is no question that it will be for our good.  All we have to do is trust and follow!
