12-27-16 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

December 27, 2016
(St. John, Apostle and Evangelist)
St. John wrote, “. . . what we have seen and heard we proclaim now to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us; for our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.  We are writing this so that our joy may be complete.” 1_Jn_1:1-4

Therefore, finding the love of God, believing in His Son Jesus Christ, and allowing the Holy Spirit to lead and guide our lives – is wonderful!  But even more wonderful, is “completing our joy” by sharing that love with others.  Even more wonderful, is bringing others to knowing Jesus, to becoming a part of this fellowship, which not only includes the Holy Trinity, the apostles and saints, and all the angels, but it includes our brothers and sisters, neighbors and friends right here in the present.  We can learn all the book stuff there is to know about our God, the history of the Church and the liturgy, but we can only complete our joy by sharing it!  “Go therefore,” Jesus said, “and make disciples of all nations!”  It’s our calling.  It’s our JOY!
