01-15-17 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

January 15, 2017
(Second Sunday Ordinary Time A)
John the Baptist saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world. Jn_1:29-34

The Word of God became flesh and dwelt among us. To those who accepted him, he gave power to become children of God. Alleluia verse  Jn_1:14a,12a

I will make you a light to the nations, that my salvation may reach to the ends of the earth.  Is_49:3,5-6

Jesus had done what He had done – according to His Father’s will.  It is the most incredible gift anyone could ever give us.  But now it’s our turn to accept it.  Our turn to open the wrapping and learn just who this Jesus is.  He is our light and our salvation.  He is God’s Son and our brother.  And only through Him are we, “Children of God.”  It’s our choice.  God is calling us to Him.  Come, Jesus says.  Muddle no longer in darkness and despair.  Your Light has come!
