01-28-17 Catholic Daily Mass Quotes

January 28, 2017
(St. Thomas Aquinas, Priest and Doctor of the Church)
Brothers and sisters: Faith is the realization of what is hoped for and evidence of things not see.   Heb_11:1-2,8-19

For if we saw and knew, what need would there be for faith.  And if we didn’t have any hope, what need would there be for faith.  And above it all, must first come Love!

The apostles, in a boat in the midst of a violent storm, were terrified and asked Jesus: “Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?”  He woke up, rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Quiet! Be still!”  The wind ceased and there was great calm. Then he asked them, “Why are you terrified?  Do you not yet have faith?”   Mk_4:35-41

How could we possibly have any fear when the Lord is near?  When our hearts are filled with Love and we know that Jesus is living in them, “we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us” Phil 4:13

Never forget, beloved.  ALL things!
